9 Top Reasons Blogs FAIL
Making a successful blog with thousands of readers and visitors, then making money from it, etcetera, is very hard. Many people think it’s easy to blog about something and make money or even a living from it. Well… it’s not. It’s very hard. It takes a lot of time, effort and dedication. So if you don’t have that, I suggest you don’t try to run a blog. Anyway, lets get started!
1. Not Updating Enough
Probably the main reason blogs fail, is because they don’t update enough. This is probably the most important part of blogging. You need to update! Readers like it when they come back and there is a new post to read. If you go to a blog, leave and come back 2 weeks later, and there’s still no post, why would you want to stay there? In pretty much any niche you choose, there is always something new going on, and you need to cover it. Also, if you’re not covering it, I guarantee, there is always somebody who is blogging about the same thing you are, and if they update it more than you, readers will want to use their blog instead. So update, update, update!
2. Not replying to your readers
Not replying to your readers is not a good way of running your blog. Your readers will have questions, and if you ignore them all, they might not want to stay and read your blog. Be loyal to your readers.
3. Copying
No one likes a copy cat. Write your own quality content. Don’t copy stuff from other blogs or websites. Sure, you can get ideas from them, but put it in your own words, don’t copy somebody else’s post word for word. People don’t like it, and they will report it and you might get in trouble. It’s not good, so don’t do it!
4. Not making it interesting
Nobody likes a boring blog, try to make it interesting. Write the best content you can. People like blogs that stand out and do something unique. Why should readers read your blog if there’s other blogs that do the same thing that you do? That is why you need to write good content, and make it very interesting.
5. The reality of blogging
Blogging isn’t all it’s made out to be. Sure it can be fun, but not always. It depends. If it’s not fun, you probably shouldn’t be doing it unless you will actually follow through and keep up. Also, blogging is a lot of work. It takes a lot of time, effort and dedication like I said earlier.
6. Not having the time
Running a successful blog takes a lot of time. If you don’t have much spare time on your hands, you probably shouldn’t try blogging. Or if you start a blog and eventually get tied up in too much stuff in your life and don’t have time, then it will start losing readers and fail.
7. Decent looking template
This isn’t very important to running a successful blog, but readers do like unique sites. You want them to visit your site and think wow! Everyone likes a cool looking site. There are blogs with boring templates who make a lot of money also, but it’d be a plus and it might make it a bit easier to have a nice looking template.
8. Not advertising right
Another issue is not knowing how to or not advertising right. When you advertise, do it professionally. Don’t go to other blogs, forums or anything and just spam the link to your blog. Do it professionally, like paying for an advertisement, or share your link on forums and blogs and don’t spam it. Be professional.
9. Not having patience
You gotta have patience. Don’t expect to make money right away. It’s not instant. It will take time to get things running and learn the best way to monetize your site. So be patient, don’t give up after a few days or weeks. That’s the one of the main reasons blogs fail.
Like I said, it’s very hard to make a successful blog and make any money from it at all, but follow those 9 ways to make a successful blog and it should help you!

Pretty cool post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say
that I have really liked reading your blog posts. Anyway
I’ll be subscribing to your blog and I hope you post again soon!
Copying is a major issue, I see so many of those stupid blogger blogs with 100% copied material – do they really think that’s the way to build a solid visitor base and make money?
oh..yeah..good news..
Good points. Many blogs do not update enough to keep visitors coming back regularly.
