As a blogger on a small budget we have to make money into our paypal accounts to pay for our hosting bill every month. For me it’s a hosting and mailing list bills. This is why as bloggers we need to find a service that we can provide for others. Writing articles is a great service to provide for quick cash. I recommend only writing about things you already know or can quickly research to write an article within 30 minutes.
Before I began blogging in early 2008, I was writing articles and flipping websites to make quick cash. In this article I will teach you how to start a n article writing business in 2 different ways. Both of these methods are only different at the beginning. After that it will be a matter of not running out of things to write.
How To Start Your Article Writing Business Without A Blog
First you will need to go to blogger.com, make a blog, and go to the freebies section of a webmaster forum. (I had used forums.digitalpoint.com) Offer the first 10 people only that you will write an article with their link in it and post it on your blog. After you have wrote and published the articles on your blog. It’s time to use your new article portfolio to get clients for your article writing business. Make a post in the services section of the webmasters forum, Give full detail of what you can write and your prices, and make sure you provide the link to your portfolio.
How To Start Your Article Writing Business With A Blog
Head over to a webmasters forum (Like above I used forums.digitalpoint.com) Like above you make a post in the services section of the webmasters forum, give full details of what niche you can write about, your price per word (1 or 2 cents per word), and provide a link to your blog as your portfolio. Yes, you can leverage your blog. It’s not like your blog is paying the bills right now anyway. You miles well make use of it right?
Now that you got both ways to start your article writing business. Let me tell you how to gain more and more clients really quickly. You want to of course do your best writing for your clients. After you are done, nicely ask them to write a review of your work. It does not matter if it’s your 1st client or your 20th client. Always ask them to leave a review of your service. Before you know it, you will get so much business that you will have to pick between your blog or your article writing business. We all know which one I picked out of the two. I even wrote an ebook on how to make a blog ready for success.

Definitely a post I can relate to. I’ve done tons of article writing over at DP. In all honesty, it is a great way to make some money, but it does get a bit boring after a while. If I could spend my whole day writing, I think I could pull in $150 to $200 a day.
The only problem is, there are so many people that are offering to write for rates below $0.01 per word, making it hard for writers like myself to be paid decent rates. Frankly, I hate being paid below 1 cent per word.
@The Gooroo, yes I know what you mean. I hate when people offer stuff so cheap and it makes it hard for you to get decent work. But if it’s boring you don’t wanna spend too much time doing it then.
But, if you like writing, I’m sure you’ll still be able to get work. Sometimes being so cheap people won’t trust your services.
If it costs more it’s better. That’s the way I like to think. Depends.

I do article writing regularly, and I charge $5 per 500 word $10 per 1,000 word article and make plenty of cash with regular customers.
The key is to off quality, not price. If you are a good writer who can speak great English, people will hire you over the $1 non-native guy. (no offense to any non-natives. If you speak/write great English too then woot woot!)
Quality is more important than quantity. I know writers getting paid $15 per article.
(By the way, your article has at least 5 errors in it. Kind of ironic for an article writer.

Besides writing articles for blogs, I think that another way of making money be writing articles is to write for article directories like helium.com. I used to write there and I have made some really nice money there. There you get paid 1 cent per visitor to your article that comes from search engines or social bookmarking websites.
Sometimes writing articles can be great for indirect income. It’s nice to write an article for a client for a straight $10, but it’s even better to write an article that ties into your blog and leads to a lot more indirect cash for yourself.
Look at you, Deneil, you’re all over the place! I have started my article writing service already, doing just what you advertise here, except for the last part, that being to ask some of those folks to go back and write me a review. I think I’m going to do that; I need more better paying clients.

You can also post on craigslist in countries like India and find cheap, high quality articles from Indians who speak really great english.

Digital Point Forum is really the place to make the quick buck. However, by all means, striving to build your flagship blog should still be a priority.

I’d have to agree with Corey, quality is important over price to a point.
Also be aware that there are a lot of con artists, I have been ripped of before after paying for articles that were never created.

Interesting article, but the most vital thing you forgot to mention? Quality control. Get a spell checker, proof-read it yourself, AND get someone else to read it (Or at least read it yourself after a decent break).
Then you’ll stop silly mistakes coming through.

Have you checked out sites like rent a coder? You can bid on writing projects there for people. They are often project based so you can pick and choose what you want to do until your book is released.
Hey – I used to do a lot of article writing and I found Elance.com and GetACoder were great sources of work. I could easily bring in a few hundred dollars a week which I then reinvested to get my other websites set up. I highly recommend doing something like this if you need cashflow.

There are many websites that you can find writing work on or find writers to write for you.
Write about sky boxes in stadiums and arenas that “sold” for premium prices to large corporations to entertain present and future clients.
I also have to make a 5 minute presentation about it so if you can find business related articles about sports or entertainment that would help out much more haha thanks in advance!
